Ankle injury

If you have suffered an Ankle injury as an innocent victim in the last three years you may be legally entitled to compensation for pain and suffering and other losses resulting from the accident.

Provided that the accident was caused by the negligence of another party you should have valid claim. Examples of circumstances where an ankle injury may be caused are :-

  1. Slips, Trips, Falls - on roads, footpaths etc, on Third Party premises such as shops or restaurants.
  2. Twisted or sprained ankles as a result of uneven, pitted or otherwise defective floor surfaces.
  3. At Work - slips trips or falls, falling objects, construction site accidents.
  4. Sporting Accidents - a regular source of ankle injuries and whilst some injuries are accepted as inevitable in sport there are situations where a legimate claim for injury damages would exist eg. reckless or malicious conduct by an opponent, defects in playing surfaces.
  5. Road Accidents - including injuries suffered whilst entering or leaving a vehicle.
Ankle injuries range from simple sprains through to complex fractures. Sprains are basically damage to ligaments and soft tissue resulting in varying degrees of swelling bruising and pain.

Fractures vary in severity and, whilst in some cases a full recovery occurs, more serious fractures may eventually cause arthritis. Because of the crucial role of the ankle a serious fracture may have some permanent effect on walking.

If you have suffered an ankle injury and would like to know whether you may be entitled to compensation please complete the Application Form and we will provide a Free Legal Assessment of your claim. We will handle your claim on a No Win No Fee basis at no cost to you.

Cyclist knocked over by car
Mr G was knocked off his bicycle by a car pulling out of a side road, fracturing his left leg. The defendant insurers blamed him for the accident alleging he had ridden on the pavement and not given way to their car. Excalibur obtained photographs and sketch plans of the accident site and agreed with Mr G to issue his claim. As soon as the documents were lodged with the Court, the defendant insurers accepted liability and settled the claim in the sum of £5,420.58. He said:
