Asbestos claims
Although Asbestos was once used extensively as a building/insulation industries it has been recognised for some time that it is highly dangerous and is no longer permitted in the construction industry.

It is still present in many thousands of premises, however, and those involved in removing it are at highest risk of exposure. Obviously, very stict safety requirements are imposed in any work of asbestos removal.

Many workers were exposed to asbestos in the past and it may not be until later in life that they become aware that they have been affected. This is because the symptoms of asbestosis may take 15-20 years or more to develop. Examples of workers who may have been exposed to asbestos in the past are insulation workers, boilermakers, laggers, roofers, plumbers, electricians, construction workers, shipworkers and of course asbestos workers.

Asbestosis is caused by the inhalation of asbestos fibres which become logded in the lung eventually causing scarring/thickening which which restricts the oxygen capacity. This in turn causes breathlessness, chest pain, chest tightness, coughing and fatigue.

The severity of the disease varies considerably from no symptoms or little disability through to respiratory failure where exertion becomes impossible and death from the disease results.

If you are suffering from Asbestosis and would like to know whether you may be entitled to compensation please complete the Application Form and we will provide a Free Legal Assessment of your claim. We will handle your claim on a No Win No Fee basis at no cost to you.
