Airbag Injuries

Airbags are one of the most effective safety sources a vehicle. They have protected many drivers from serious injuries when they are involved in road accidents. However, in some road accidents defective airbags fails to deploy in time and this results in serious injuries. A wide rang of airbag injuries may be suffered by drivers and passengers and some of them include severe eye injuries, hearing damage, head injuries, neck injuries, traumatic brain injuries, paralysis, heart injuries, spinal cord injuries, vertebral fractures, bone fractures, facial injuries, and breaking of fingers and hands. When an airbag activates it produce over 1200 lbs of force and it may seriously affect the eye socket and the eyeball of a driver. Moreover, some victims may even develop angle recession glaucoma and pressure in the drainage system of their eyes finally leading to blindness. Defective airbags are being put into cars and vehicles without initial tests to ensure whether the airbags will work effectively in times of accidents or not. In some case defective airbags may be due to some errors in installation process.

Usually airbags deploy at great speed sometimes beyond 200 mph and delivers a sharp blow on the drivers and passengers. Moreover, failure in deployment or a late deployment may cause the drivers and the passengers to sustain the injuries that were supposed to be prevented by the airbags. Drivers and passengers may collide with the window, the dashboard or any hard interiors of the vehicle when airbags fail to activate. In addition to failure of deployment, a late deployment of airbags could even lead to additional injuries when passengers and drivers are sitting too close to the airbags. Airbags are designed to deploy at a particular angle to offer the best protection from serious injuries. However, sometimes airbags deploy at wrong angles and it collides with the body of the victims in unsafe ways. There are also some cases where unnecessary deployment of airbags in minor collision leading to many injuries.

You are entitled to make compensation claims when you sustain serious airbag injuries due to defective airbags while facing an accident. It is the fault of the manufacturers who produce defective airbags and you are liable to get compensation for your injuries. You should be able prove that you was not responsible for the road accident and some other else was responsible. Moreover, you should hire a professional lawyer who will present your compensation claim before the court. As your lawyer has expertise in making compensation claims he will be able to claim for a better compensation amount for your injuries.

Slip in Public House
Mrs C whilst walking towards the bar area slipped on the wet floor of a public house whilst walking towards the bar area. She fell awkwardly causing a complex fracture of her right wrist. The insurers denied liability alleging the floor was dry and that Mrs C was drunk and jumping on the dancefloor. Excalibur obtained evidence refuting this and issued the claim at Court. Settlement was reached just prior to the trial when Mrs C was awarded £20,000.00 she said:
"I would just like to say thanks to the staff who have been first class explaining things to me all the way and keeping me informed."
