Hotel Safety Regulations Abroad

The more people travel, the less they tend to think about their safety. With an increasing number of terrorist attacks on hotels and the typical bad guys there, it is important to follow the hotel safety regulations abroad so that you do not become a victim of any possible holiday accidents while vacationing:

• Do not answer the hotel or motel room door without asking who is there at the door. If the person says that he or she is an employee or a staff member, it is wise to call the reception and ask whether a person has been sent to your room and what the purpose of his or her coming is.
• If you are returning to the hotel late in the night, it is always better to use the hotel’s main entrance only.
• Before entering into the hotel parking spaces, you must be observant and watch around for any possible thieves or burglars.
• When you are inside your hotel room, always close the room door securely and use all the locking devices that are provided to you.
• Always keep your room keys safe and never leave them carelessly on the restaurant tables, swimming pool or any other place from where it can be stolen. In case you misplace it anyhow, immediately inform the helpdesk of the hotel.
• Do not display your expensive jewellery or cash in public as it may draw attention of any possible bad guys in the hotel.
• Avoid inviting any strangers into your hotel room.
• Always keep all your valuables in the safe deposit box of the hotel.
• Never leave any valuable items in the vehicle.
• Always check that all the doors and windows or connecting doors are properly locked.
• Report any kind of suspicious activities to the management of the hotel.
• No matter how friendly and safe the hotel staff seems, never let anyone become too friendly with your children.
• Hotel rooms with an electronic key is much more safer than a standard key, as in an electronic key, the combination gets changes with every new guest, unlike a standard key which remains the same with the room numbers.

It is acceptable that it you might ignore the safety precautions and Hotel Safety Regulations abroad in all the excitement and joy of the holiday, but some caution and a little care will avoid any possible holiday accidents and will definitely make your trip a hassle free and safe one.
