Machinery accident claims

Many accidents in the workplace arise out of the use of machinery and tools ranging from hand tools through machine tools such as lathes and presses to large items of mobile mechanical plant eg. cranes or fork lift trucks.

Injuries may be caused in many ways such as :-

  1. Articles dropped or falling eg. from lifting plant
  2. Contact with moving parts of machinery
  3. Trapping, particularly of hands
  4. Electric shocks, burns or scalds
  5. Flying debris following fragmentation of machinery or materials being worked on
  6. Emission of harmful substances from machinery

Employers have a legal duty to protect their employees from injury and this includes ensuring that all tools and machinery are safe, suitable for the purpose for which they are intended, properly guarded and that employees have been trained in their use.

Employers can be fined for breach of this duty and if it results in an accident causing personal injury they may be liable at law to financially compensate the injured person.

If you have been involved in a machinery accident in the last three years and would like to know whether you may be entitled to compensation, please complete the Application Form and we will provide a Free Legal Assessment of your claim. We will handle your claim on a No Win No Fee basis at no cost to you.

Testimonials
Pedestrian run over by car
Mrs K was knocked over by a car that mounted the pavement, fracturing her tibia. Following extensive medical investigations organised by Excalibur, it transpired that the accident brought forward the need for a knee replacement operation in the next 5-10 years. Excalibur settled Mrs K’s claim for £28,750.00 she said:
"I am very pleased with the service I have received and would recommend Excaliburs to my friends. My claim was handled in a very professional manner and I was kept informed of it’s progress. Everyone I met or spoke to was helpful and considerate and I felt confident in their abilities. This was important to me at the time of my accident and later."
