The Work health and safety of an employee has to be taken care of in the work place.  Your employer has a legal and moral responsibility to ensure your safety at work. Certain steps are to be followed to ensure adequate health and safety in the work place.

• Workplace health and safety should be the first priority of the employer. Necessary training should be provided to the employees to make them clear that how to make work environment safe and healthy.
• Make use of available advisory services for the health and safety of employee so that the advisor will inform you about all the legislator requirements.
• There should be a work place and health safety officer that may provide you relevant training programs. If the employee is trained they will play an invaluable role in implementing the health and safety program.
• To make healthy and safe workplace is not only the responsibility of employer but the employee is also equally responsible for health and safety.
• Safety record is also one measure for maintaining health and safety at work place. By reviewing statistics one can ensure all issues related to health and safety has been dealt satisfactorily.
• Documenting the procedures is also one of the important steps for the health and safety of the employees.
• Employer should always be vigilant in finding all the solutions easily. The employer should take care that the productivity level does not decline when the employers are required to work at long level.
• Proper action need to be taken at the time of the accident occur at work place and all document procedure to be carried out during the accident on time.
• Always work closely in relation with work place health and safety officer and keep regular audit and reports.

After following these steps for work place health and safety, proper inspection should also be done with a written response to report. The management may conduct the joint inspection with a well qualified team who will look after all the issues related to health and safety.  These health and safety representatives may inspect the work place with the aim of establishing progress made with the implementation of the corrective measures. At the end the inspection team members come up with conclusion about the risk associated with particular area related to health and safety.
